Why can't we hibernate in the winter like animals?

The cold is pants. I would like to snuggle in a sleeping bag watching rubbish TV and playing Fifa 12 all winter. Anyone else?

    I've done this the last couple of years and can thoroughly recommend it. Unfortunately, this year I've made the silly mistake of accepting a work contract in winter...
